DIGIMEDIA
Standards: Use a program to effectively communicate an idea or concept.
Daily Learning Objective: Completing Song Lyrics
1. Lyrics!! Teams with the lyrics (Tyler and Cheyenne) FINISH as best you can (at least a rough draft). Show to other team captains when finished. Get ideas.
2. Other Team Members: WATCH AS MANY SHORTIE AWARDS AS POSSIBLE. All members should turn in a review of their favorite video in EACH CATEGORY by the end of the period. Title a Word document “Shortie Awards: Reviews and Ideas”. As you watch, write down the titles and description of the ones you like. I’d like THREE for each category. Students writing lyrics (see #1) will turn in lyrics with all contributing members names in the upper right hand corner). I’d still like you to try and review a few of the videos in the Shortie awards, but I’m more concerned with the lyrics at this point.
When you finish watching, start putting down some ideas that WE could do (or that YOU could do). What kind of documentary film could we do in San Dimas? Who could we interview? What kinds of questions would we ask?
What kind of Stop Motion could we do? What sort of animation?
- figure out what some people did well and how we can do something as cool or BETTER if possible. Focus on the Middle School and High School projects…
- Write any ideas down beneath your Shortie Award reviews
- Here’s the RUBRIC for entries: filmrubric09
- Shortie Awards Rules and Categories
Make a short scene using this website: Xtranormal.com
A conversation between two people. One needs to go somewhere, the other wants to go along, but the first person doesn’t want them to go but doesn’t know how to tell them without being rude. GO!

Then give it to me to look over and I will approve/amend your project idea so that you can get started. Work on your project is to be done AT HOME or before/after school, NOT IN CLASS.
