Day 121: Wednesday Compact Day

DIGICOM 2O1 PERIODS 1, 3, AND 5

END GOAL: To create a 10-15 second animation with sound effects. To improve typing ability by learning the home row by touch (without looking).
OBJECTIVE: Add animated GIF file and add sound effects into Movie Maker. and Learn to use right and left hand at the same time without looking.
STANDARDS: 2.1 Students use technology to…
promote creativity.

BW: Journal Entry:  You will title your paper Typing Reflection Journal.  You can copy and paste these questions into the program.  Answer using complete sentences and proper spelling and grammar.   Using Microsoft Word (Start > All Programs > Microsoft Office > MIcrosoft Office Word) type up a short response to these reflection questions:  

1.  How have you grown as a typist since beginning this class?  

2.  What area(s) have you improved in the most?  

3.  What is the hardest part of touch typing?    

4.  Give several examples of how typing will benefit you in the future.  

5.  What is your next typing goal?  Give a specific, reachable goal.  For example, if you have just passed Lesson 2 with 2 errors, maybe your next goal could be to pass Lesson 3 with 1 or NO errors.  Give yourself a set period of time to achieve the goal.

3. FINISH ANIMATION #2

-this animation will be called “Animation #2″ (you can give it a more original title later). This animation must have a background created in Paint. You can have MORE THAN ONE BACKGROUND by creating MORE THAN ONE PIVOT and then combine them all in Movie Maker. Multiple backgrounds are not required, but you must have at least ONE original background. You may also use images from Google
-animation must use a minimum of 3 DIFFERENT sound effects
-animation must have more than one object move at a time
-sound effects need to be lined up with the animation so that it matches the action
-add title and credits to your movie. Read here for more info.
-experiment with adding effects in Movie Maker. Here’s more on that.
-Have fun!

3.  SAVE ANIMATION AS MOVIE FILE (see tutorial in shared file) 

4. Finished? Project Ideas
-Create an animation of your own with homemade sound effects.
-Experiement with Audacity or Gimp.
-Use Photostory to make a Music Video using one of the songs from the Songs folder.

End Goal: Make a 10-15 second animation with multiple sound effects. Use the sound effects in the shared folder titled “effects”.

OBJECTIVE: To add band song into Movie Maker/Photostory and begin putting images in time with the music.

STANDARDS
: 2.2 Students use multiple programs to promote creativity.

2. MTB MUSIC VIDEO (due next Thursday)
Choose a song from the “Songs” folder. Or, write you own using the loops and drums beats and your skills in Audacity. If you plan on using your own song you must complete it on your own at home and bring it in as an mp3 so that you can use it in Movie Maker or Photostory on Tuesday. Make a 30 second to one minute video to go with your song. It must match the lyrics and mood of the song. Pictures and images should change with the beat and different sections. Use text, images, pivot animations, etc. to make your video stand out from everyone elses.

END GOAL: To create a multi-media project with narration, sound effects, and background music
OBJECTIVE: To complete and make T-shirt AND to get Electives Promo Videos created. Next objective would be the MiniMovie Pivot animations.
STANDARDS: 2.2 Students use multiple programs to create an animation.

Create a sticker and then we could sell it to help support DigiMedia. The best designed sticker could actually be made and sold!
