3 Week Projects

• Game Design
  • Design an epic game with 5-10 levels
  • Create a full story.
  • Show a PLAN for your game.  Write out ideas and even sketch out ideas for a level and prizes and monsters and stuff.
  • Play test your game with your friends and family
  • CREATE A SPLODER ACCOUNT, OR YOU WILL BE SAD WHEN YOU LOSE YOUR GAME FOREVER!!  Ask your parents.  Show them this agenda.  🙂
• Video Ideas
  • You must write out your idea first in paragraph form, and/or write the actual script for what you will say.  Part of your grade will be to show me your planning.
  • Types of Videos:
  • Short form talk show about your favorite hobby.
    • Develop a set of topics (must be written out) in relation to your topic.  Make an outline OR script that you can follow.
• Coding
  • Go to the code.org and start going through the FULL COURSE to learn how to be a Code Master Ninja!  Scroll this page to find stuff for creating WEB PAGES, GAMES, etc.
  • Try the Scratch program on your desktop!!

• StopMotion
  • Using legos and webcams, do a simple stopmotion animation.
  • Plan out what your story will be before you begin…stopmotion is time consuming and you need to have a plan of WHAT you will be animating.
  • animation should look good…not bouncy and bumpy.
  • Cameras need to be still or taped (blue tape) in place
  • Check out the free program Stykz (on your desktop).  It works on Mac and PC and is FREE and has lots of cool features that Pivot doesn’t have.
• Pivot
  • Make an epic pivot with multiple scenes and characters.
  • Create original backgrunds using paint.
  • Animation needs to look good, take your time.
  • You must come up with a simple story idea FIRST before you begin.
• Graphic Design
  • Design a series of posters and banner ads using Paint, Sumo Paint, Paint.net or GIMP.
  • Create a set of posters that would go together.
  • Or maybe create a webcomic!!
  • Create a brochure for an imaginary product or company.
  • Design the layout for a game!
• Music Making
  • Make a song using these awesome stuffs.
  • Soundation
